Hi Friends!  My little guy is taking a snooze so I thought I'd take these very FEW minutes to get on here and say hello and tell you how much I've missed you!  I haven't even had much time to lurk but I think of you often, and I've had a few peeps telling me how much fun the Top 10's have been.  I'm so impressed!

Edward was born just after midnight on May 23rd and, boy, how our lives have changed...all for the better, of course!  The sleepless nights are a tad brutal (understatement of the year), but he amazes us with how much he grows and changes on a daily basis.  My new favorite pastime is just staring into his gorgeous eyes!

A few funnies re: the big day.  My dad came to visit, thinking he'd be just in time to catch a glimpse of a new grandchild, only to discover that I hadn't given birth yet, so he was in the room with us.  I don't think I've ever seen a bigger deer in headlights.  Trust me, he stayed out of sight, if you get my drift...no time in Netherland, as DJ would say.  But he sure was misty eyed when he saw his grandchild.  When I looked over at my mother during the final phase, her eyes were rolling back in her head as she prayed to God and the patron saint of babies, if there is such a thing.  And my poor husband was quite a trooper as he counted for me during the contractions.  He only endured one curse word from me...not bad, eh!?  Since the birth, I've been trying to get out on walks at least once a day, but I'm not quite myself yet.  Luckily, I have my niece, Kate, to remind of my need to get back in shape.  Yesterday, we took her to the park for her birthday, and as I was pushing her on the swing, she said, "It must be hard to push since your tummy is still so big!"  I took one present away for that one...kidding!

Okay, gotta go, but I wanted to share a few pics and wish you all the best.  You've all been in my thoughts! 

BTW, Finn did make his first American Idol finale, as Dave got me a ticket to go at the last second, so I went only a few days before he was born.  It was AMAZING!  I have to say, ArchuD2 did bring the heat that night, but I'm definitely a Cookie lover in every way!  Thankfully, he didn't make an early exit, as they didn't allow cell phones, although I'm sure DC would have done a lovely job of delivering him if need be...or Seacrest.
